Walking out a grocery store the other day I glanced at the girly magazines by the register and read a headline: UNTAMED VA-JAY-JAYS.

I guess there is a new trend in nether hair fashion. Or rather, an old one, if we're going back to 1970's bush? Does this mean that we're already done with vajazzling? (Vajazzling is the practice of applying glitter and jewels to a woman's nether regions right after she gets a Brazilian wax.)

At first I was shocked that Cosmopolitan – one of the most popular woman’s magazines -- would want women to stop grooming down there, but my real issue was the fact that nether hair is subject to the latest fashion craze, like our clothes, makeup, and shoes.

Guess what!?! U.S. Catholic Latinos are more progressive than I thought… in California anyway. Yay! I’m talking about same-sex marriage and that 57 percent of Latino Catholics would vote for the legalization of same-sex marriage, according to a new survey. And 51 percent of the Catholic Latinos surveyed support gay and lesbian couples being able to adopt children. ¡Horale! Sure, there will always be Catholic Latinos who will never accept homosexuality in society. But a survey of 3,351 Californian adults last month found that Catholic Latinos are more in favor of same-sex marriage than their Protestant counterparts, reports Religion and Same-Sex Marriage in California.pdf Read More
In last week's Ask a Mexican column, Dump the Pendejo Already, a woman wrote to ask if she had a right to ask her boyfriend to remove photos of him hugging and kissing his ex that were appearing in his computer screen saver. "Dolores" said she was Mexican and the boyfriend was white, and that she knew dating a white guy would mean dealing with some cultural differences, like him being friends with his exes -- something she and the other Mexican people she knew would never do. I was happily surprised by the response from the Mexican (columnist and author Gustavo Arellano). “Dump the Pendejo Already! It’s one thing for a current partner to keep talking with exes, quite another to keep photos of said exes in a place where they see them daily, and quite pendejo to have said pictures of exes hugging and kissing said partner and to show them to their current beau.”

Right on!

I’m gone for like two weeks and all of a sudden there’s a whole new way to flirt that I missed out on. I’m already behind on the traditional ways to flirt; now I have to get into gear and learn QuePasa.com’s new flirting game called SnapMeUp.

Yesterday QuePasa.com, a Latino social networking site, announced the launch of SnapMeUp which has its members trade pictures of themselves and their friends to gain points and collect the most popular pictures of pretty people online.

If you have ever worried about preferring a shorter sex session rather than going at it all night, this study of couples in the United States and Canada might reassure you. While I don’t want to make a vast generalization I am going to assume you’ve had a bit of Catholic Guilt growing up. CG makes life confusing - especially to a young adult going through los cambios. Should I be ashamed of my breasts? Can people tell I’ve gotten my period? Can La Virgen really see me touch myself at night? That’s just creepy!

Do good Catholic girls masturbate? Hell yes they do! That’s how many of us deal with our teenage hormones without getting pregnant. I remember when I first discovered masturbating. I was about 14 years old and I happened to graze myself and felt something tingly. Recreating the sensation night after night was exciting and then shameful.

Listening to the radio this morning I heard the hosts talking about creating a holiday for single people who don’t have kids. Envious of the attention fathers, mothers and those to-be get for simply having children seemed to really annoy them. Did they not get the memo but I thought being child-less and doing whatever I wanted was the holiday? Read More
